Champion of Community Reinvestment at ACT:
Secured over $90 million in Community Reinvestment Agreements, bringing critical financial services and opportunities to underserved neighborhoods.
Advocate for Fair Lending:
Instrumental in the enactment of San Antonio's Predatory Lending Ordinance, protecting countless families from unfair financial practices.
Environmental Justice Leader:
Fought for and achieved the removal of harmful alcohol and tobacco billboard advertisements, creating healthier, safer communities for all.
Education and Empowerment:
Partnered with local institutions like Frost Bank and SAISD to educate youth and their families on financial awareness, equipping them with the knowledge to thrive.
Established Safe School Zones:
Implemented policies for Safe School Zones nationwide, ensuring our children's safety and well-being through collaborative efforts with the Department of Justice and community stakeholders.
Asset Forfeiture Drug Money Policy:
Worked with the Department of Justice to implement policies allowing asset forfeiture drug money to be returned to fight crime in our neighborhoods, directly contributing to safer, more secure communities.
